All,
I am in a bit of confusion and needed some info. I had applied for I-485 during July fiasco and my spouse applied as derivative. We had applied for her H1 extension/transfer through another employer after we filed for I-485 as we did not want her to use EAD. We recently received her H-1 approval without I-94.
I am not sure at this point if she has to leave immediately to get the h1 stamp Or she can continue to stay here as her AOS is pending based on derivative status of my application.
Also will her getting approved without I-94 impact her pending AOS in anyway

pappu, ur link talks abt GC in EB-5 category. is the requirement of $1 mn investment a reqd condition for this? in other words, if an enterprise can generate jobs for 10+ US citizens by investing a lesser amt, is that valid for filing GC under EB-5 category?

It is now on a list that sets it up for a voice vote in the house and will certainly pass. Unfortunately though it has only two provisions- extenson of the conrad program by 5 years and an increase in the number of flex spots.
We are hopeful that once the bill reaches the senate, provsions for GC exemption and H1 eligibility will be added on.

Since there is a mad rush of i485 applications , USCIS is going to do lottery to select applications for approval.Rest of them will be rejected.

Folks please advise on using POJ method. I tried calling using the instructions below however I always get to customer service instead of NSC where I intend to connect. Am I missing something here ?

Now enter your receipt number SRCxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Gaurav,
Unfortunately, I don't think it is possible to customize the scrollbar inside a WebBrowser. The WebBrowser is almost a direct inline view of the IE browser, so if your IE browser's scrollbars were different, then I believe the WebBrowser control's scrollbars would be different as well.
In other words, the style is inherited from IE.

My company filed my I-485, EAD and AP together.(On Auguest 6th this year) They asked me for only one check for $745.
I was reading through a few posts and found that everybody had submitted 3 individual cheques for the same...
Is this ok? Or did my company do a blunder.
I have not yet recieved any receipts.

IV needs volunteers
As the time approaches for heated immigration debate on the Hill, behind the scenes IV activities are also are also going to increase. IV core members have full time jobs and thus we need more hands to share the mission we have all been working on.
This is a request to IV members if they are willing to spare a few hours everyday for some IV's work. This work will involve writing lots of emails (a template will be provided) and making phone calls.
We all are going through a lot of frustration due to the delays in our green card processes and I am sure highly skilled and educated spouses that are on H4 would have more than our share of pain due to not having any work permit. If we could have such volunteers who can devote few hours during the day for IV it would a Big help. With everyone's effort and support we will surely succeed.

What if the validity date of H1 is before the validity date of F1. In other words if the validity date of H1 is 10/1/2009 to 9/30/2012 and the validity date of F1 is 12/15/2009 to D/s but the approval date of F1 is on 7th Jan 2010 and the approval date of H1 is on 14th jan 2010.

Please suggest how safe is it to travel on previous employer's visa stamp and new approval notice....
Also, what happens if your previous employer cancels your visa, can u still use the same stamp...
Any help will be highly appreciated.

I travelled in 2004 using the visa stamp of other comapny . Not sure if any rules changed lately but again you can not apply for Visa stamping if your exipry date is more than 6 months .

LCA pending.. I94 expires tomorrow.. Should we file with pending LCA or wait for LCA to certify (which would mean filing a week after I94 has expired).. ???

Just fill out the new I9 Form with your EAD details. You should be fine.
