Between the Pipes with Keith Kinkaid - January 11th, 2011

This is our fifth segment of 'Between the Pipes with Keith Kinkaid.' This past weekend Keith and the team pulled off two great wins against St. Lawrence and Clarkson. He is currently the 11th best goalie in the country statistically with a save percentage of .918 through 1,166 minutes of play.

How would you evaluate your performance this past weekend against St. Lawrence and Clarkson? Did you notice any considerable changes in the team's level of play this past weekend?

This weekends games were extremely important to get back to our winning ways. The boys played really well in front of me making it easy to see shots and let me make the stops. We came out flying and it was good to see us pop in a good amount of goals this weekend as well as play great defensively. I truly think with our fans, it gives us a big advantage at home and the results have shown.

Who was this past weekend's MVP in your opinion?

Kyle Bodie was this past weekend's MVP. He proved he deserved to be in the line-up and came up big for us in both games. He had a go from center ice and nailed the empty netter to solidify the win on Friday and helped get us going Saturday against a good Clarkson team.

What does the team plan to work this week in practice as you prepare for this weekend's roadtrip?

We are working on our systems and our strategy for approaching Colgate right now. We have had good jump in practice so far this week and we are looking to take this energy into the weekend.

What do you expect from Cornell and Colgate? What are those team's especially good at that we must defend?

We expect tough games in both Cornell and Colgate. These arenas are both tough to play in and no one currently on the team has won at Colgate's arena so we are looking for that opportunity. Cornell is always a great defensive team so we need our offense to produce exactly like this past weekend. In Colgate, we need to create our own energy and shut their offense down.

Give me this weekend's winners in the NFL playoffs. Actually, let me rephrase, how badly will New England beat the Jets at home?

*Laughs* Well I have the Steelers over the Ravens at home, the Bears over the Seahawks at home, and the Falcons over the Packers in a tough game at home. But although I am a Giants fan, the Jets are my second favorite team. It's going to be a great game with the Jets on top of the scoreboard. Don't cry when the Pats lose, Zolot.

Well there you have it folks, you've heard it from the man himself. Please leave your reviews in the comment box below. Enjoy this weekend's playoff matchups - GO PATS!!! And remember fans, you can find Keith Kinkaid on facebook at any time during the day. -JZolot
