Back In Action

Tomorrow night BU takes the ice against the University of Toronto for their first game of the season. Of course this is only an exhibition game, but it is the start of the long awaited season at last. Yesterday, Friday, was the first time the Terriers had a full practice with the coaches. For the past few weeks, captains practices have taken place.

Tomorrow the Terriers will be short handed. Junior Corey Trivino and sophomore Alex Chiasson will not play due to suspensions.

The Terriers head coach will be Mike Bavis, Jack Parker has yet to get clearance from doctors to return to the bench.

Expect all three goalies to see action in tomorrows game.

Scouting U Toronto  
The University of Toronto started a mens hockey program, way back in 1891 and in 1903 joined Queens and McGill to form an intercollegiate hockey league. This was Canada's first. Former players from the Blues played in the 1928 Olympic games and won the gold medal for Canada. In 1993 Toronto lost the Canadian collegiate National Championship game to Acadia. The Blues have won 10 National Titles, there last coming in 1984.

Agganis Gets Prepped For Season Opener 

Over the summer a few of changes have been made to BU's ice palace, Agganis Arena. The main change was a new ice surface. This also includes new lines on the ice and a new BU logo at center. Other changes made include new carpet in the club room and some updates to the locker rooms.

One Last Shot For Hockey's Lone Senior Skater 

Senior Captain, Joe Pereira  was the topic of this "BU Today" article. It talks about Joey's time at BU and his thoughts on this season.
