D-1 Championship ends in a 1-1 tie

If you haven't heard, the Division 1 championship game was called after 8 overtimes with the game tied 1-1. Marquette and Orchard Lake St. Mary's were named co-champions. Personally, I think ties are the worst of all outcomes in sports. While I understand that there was concern for the health of the players, they certainly could have figured out another way to end it.
